About The Work
This piece of emory oak came from my property. It was turned and dried for three years before working. The aluminum is 1/4” rod, hand fitted. It continues the theme of exposing the interior void and negative space.

Wood in the southwest desert doesn’t rot; it ages with the exposure to the elements. Wind sculpts the surface, sun dries and cracks the wood, and rain creates the silvered patina. This piece was turned and allowed to weather outdoors. Rusted wire wraps the vessel, embracing the wood and the inevitable passage of time.

This piece is SOLD, please contact me to inquire about available work in this style.
